We are currently experiencing changes in the way to solve problems as software engineers.

With changes, different feelings emerge: fear, excitement, anxiety, hope…

Are we going to be replaced by machines? when? this year? next? in ten years?

What’s going to be replaced? Are we going to be deemed useless?

I personally don’t think we are going to be replaced, at least not totally.

What if we get 100% replaced?

Well, I think we are ultimately good problem solvers, maybe we can work on the definition of inputs and outputs, letting the machines handle the logic between them.

That would be nice, I personally like to program, but what I enjoy most is to solve problems. If AI allows me to focus on problem solving that’d be pretty awesome.

What if the machine removes me 100% from the equation?
